What is it about?

Are you going all out to get a move on your company’s progress? Would you like to learn how to sell effectively and manage cash flows? Apply for the GoStartup School!

The GoStartup School is a startup school for young entrepreneurs. In a number of workshops, mentors and experienced speakers will lead your through the key steps in the development and growth of your new business.

The programme is held twice a week in October and November.

Ten selected participants attend the school free of charge (EUR 0 instead of EUR 2,852.00*).

How much does participation in the program cost?

The program is completely free of charge for 12 participants, who will be assessed as suitable by the Entrepreneurship Jury. The value of the program is EUR 2,852.00.

I don't have a company yet, can I apply for GoStartup school?

The company is not a condition for registration. Individuals or groups with a business idea or young companies up to the age of 36 months can apply. You will present your business idea to the jury and explain how you are actively working on its realization.

What is the application process?

Fill in the online application form with your data and company description on the website www.primorski-tp.si. We are collecting applications until 30.9.2020, and then we will invite you to a personal presentation of your company. The Jury will select 12 individuals or teams who will be able to attend GoStartup School free of charge.

Which stage of businesses is best suitable for the enrollment in the GoStartup School?

GoStartup School is best suited for young businesses that are generating start-up sales but need knowledge to progress and grow. The school is also suitable for ambitious individuals or teams with an entrepreneurial idea who are in the start-up phase of a company and before their first appearance on the market.

Do I have to have the company's headquarters in the Primorska Technology Park in order to attend school?

This is not necessary. You can have your company headquarters anywhere. Physical presence in the Primorska Technology Park is important only at workshops within the GoStartup school.

Can I apply to school even if I am a member of other similar organizations (GZS, OZ, Incubators, accelerators)?

You can. By participating in the Gostartup school, you also become a member of the GoStartup incubator in the Primorska Technology Park. There is no membership fee, but by incubating you will be entitled to free mentoring by experienced entrepreneurs, expert advice, the right to free use of space in Cowokring PTP for a period of one year, and later at a subsidized price, the opportunity to participate in GoStartup club and access to entrepreneurial knowledge in the form of numerous workshops and lectures.

Do you claim a share of the company?

No. The Primorska Technology Park does not enter the ownership structure of companies.

How is the Primorska Technology Park financed?

The Primorska Technology Park obtains funds for the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Goriška region mainly from European funds, partly from the local environment and from sponsorship funds. We strive to provide young entrepreneurs with the most favorable conditions for starting, growing and developing their companies.

How long will the program last?

Workshops take place twice a week, usually in the afternoon, for 3-4 hours per workshop. During school, candidates work to develop their own businesses for faster advancement.

What do you expect from the participants?

Active participation in GoStartup school, work on your own company, striving for ambitious progress of your own company or project with an entrepreneurial mentor and active participation in the entrepreneurial community of the Primorska Technology Park, because we know from experience that networking is a source of success for entrepreneurs.
