Overview
How to develop your business idea in 54 hours – an entrepreneurial mentoring program that links entrepreneurship with research.
Do you have an idea or a product you’d like to pursue but don’t know where to start or who to start with?
GoStartup Weekend – Retina Mentorship Program is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in a weekend.
Who can apply?
- Entrepreneurs at all stages
- Researchers
- University students
- People with business ideas
What do you need to bring?
Lots of energy! You will pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you will get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it is all about the team*.
Note*: Teams will be formed at the very beginning of the program with the aim to bring together people with different knowledge, skills and background.
Over the course of the weekend, you will be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that fits the needs of your target customer. You will get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely!
On Sunday afternoon, all the teams will pitch and the jury will award the best pitch.
How much does the program cost?
Good news: The program is free of charge!!!!
The activity is funded by the European Regional Development Fund in the Interreg V-A Slovenia – Austria cooperation program within the RETINA project: Opening up research laboratories for innovative industrial applications.
GoStartup Weekend – Retina Mentorship Program is a full weekend-long experience. The package includes:
- meals over the course of the weekend
- One-on-one time with amazing mentors
- A new network of entrepreneurs, researchers, developers, designers, and eager, like you, to change the world.
- All the coffee you can consume.
The program will be held in English.
