On November 12, 2025, the Primorski Technological Park hosted the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Robert Golob, and a government delegation. They met with rapidly growing high-tech companies from the incubator and the broader innovation community of PTP. This visit represents an important recognition of our more than two decades of work in the development of entrepreneurship, innovation, and technological progress in the Goriška region.

Welcome Address by the Director of PTP

In her opening address, the Director of the Primorski Technological Park, Mag. Tanja Kožuh, welcomed the Prime Minister, ministers, and the entire delegation, emphasizing the importance of PTP in the Slovenian innovation landscape:

“Here, the most promising companies are developing – those that represent a small but extremely important share of the Slovenian economy. These companies create above-average added value, bring innovations, and build the economic vitality of our region and country.”

She presented the key programs of PTP, such as the Startup and Scaleup Academy, mentoring, the entrepreneurial club, and specialized workshops, highlighting PTP’s unique role in the Slovenian context:

“In 15 years, we have formed the strongest and most connected startup community in Slovenia. Because our programs are top-notch, startups from all over the country come to us – from Ljubljana to Jesenice, Škofja Loka, Izola, and Trbovlje.”

The director also introduced the internationally awarded POPRI entrepreneurial education program, which the Primorski Technological Park has been developing for more than 20 years and which now connects young people across the entire Adriatic-Ionian region. She enthusiastically shared an important achievement:

“Yesterday, the POPRI program was declared the European winner in the Business Internationalisation category in Denmark. Out of more than 300 applications from 30 countries, we became one of the six winning practices – and we are extremely proud of this.”

She also highlighted the need for stronger systemic support for the POPRI program, particularly in terms of involving students and young researchers and digitalizing the program using modern technologies:

“We believe that today’s meeting is just the beginning of future collaboration, which will allow us to provide young people with better conditions to develop entrepreneurial ideas and tools for the future.”

Meeting with Innovative Companies

The delegation was then introduced to ten high-tech companies from the Goriška region, which, with the support of PTP, have co-created the development of the region and Slovenian technological excellence. Entrepreneurs presented their advanced solutions at booths and opened a dialogue on the challenges and opportunities of the modern innovation environment.

Nina Bizjak, co-founder of the startup Erlik, and Elvis Janežič, CEO of the globally recognized company Instrumentation Technologies, joined the guided conversation with the entrepreneurs. They presented the starting points and development challenges faced by high-tech companies and addressed key systemic opportunities that could accelerate further growth.

Prime Minister Presents the First National Call for Generative Artificial Intelligence

During the visit, Prime Minister Dr. Robert Golob announced the first national call for generative artificial intelligence, which marks an important step in the development of advanced technologies in the Slovenian language. Key highlights include:

  • A strong emphasis on data protection and technological neutrality.
  • Ensuring free, secure, and transparent access to AI tools for all users,
  • Efforts to make Slovenia one of the first countries to sign contracts with the world’s largest AI service providers,

Visit to the company Led Luks

The government delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the rapidly growing high-tech company Led Luks, a member of the PTP community, where they were presented with the company’s development achievements and global growth strategy.
