The Primorska Technology Park is implementing the SIO-PTP-2020-2022 project on the basis of the Public Tender for the Implementation of Support Services for Innovative Environment Entities in the Republic of Slovenia 2020-2022 (SIO 2020-2022).
The contractor is the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology – Public Agency SPIRIT (www.spiritslovenia.si). Funds for the implementation of the public tender are provided by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology – MGRT (www.gov.si/drzavni-organi/ministrstva/ministrstvo-za-gospodarski-razvoj-in-tehnologijo), in the role of an intermediary body.
Project financing:
The project is co – financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It is implemented within the “Operational Program for the Implementation of European Cohesion Policy in the period 2014 – 2020”, priority axis: “3 Dynamic and competitive entrepreneurship for green economic growth”; Priority investments: “3.1 Promoting entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and encouraging the creation of new businesses, including business incubators”; specific objective: “3.1.1 Encouraging the creation and operation of companies, especially start-up companies” (www.eu-skladi.si).
Purpose of the project:
The purpose of the project is to provide free services for the target groups of the public tender, within the subjects of innovative environment (SIO), which by implementing the activities that are the subject of the tender, create balanced software support for start-up, growth and development of companies. the number of newly established companies, especially those that achieve higher added value compared to the Slovenian average; increasing the survival rates of start-ups and overcoming barriers to fast-growing businesses.
Project goal:
The aim of the project from the point of view of the Operational Program for the Implementation of European Cohesion Policy is to contribute to the specific objective 3.1.1: “Promoting the creation and operation of companies, especially start-ups”, investment priorities 3.1. “Promoting entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and encouraging the creation of new businesses, including business incubators.” The objectives of the public tender will be to: the impact indicator “increase in the number of recipients of non-financial support”; specific result indicator “increase in the business activity index (TEA index)”.
Subject of the public tender – project activities:
The subject of the public tender is the financial support of those SIO activities that provide support to target groups. Support for target groups is provided through promotional and motivational events, information and counseling, thematic workshops, mentoring, providing assistance through experts and managing the portfolio of target groups. The activities are carried out by the Primorska Technology Park as the holder of the SIO-PTP-2020-2022 project.
Project phases:
Different content sets of support as different levels of activity for target groups are designed as phases. The Primorska Technology Park implements PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 of the public tender: phase 1 – support of the business idea process (proof of concept), in which we help target groups to verify the business idea and make a plan for its implementation; phase 2 – support for the growth and development of start-up companies – we focus on supporting companies in removing obstacles to the development and growth of the company.

The Primorska Technology Park is implementing the SIO-PTP-2020-2022 project in the Western Cohesion Region.
Target groups:
The target groups of users for whom the activities that are the subject of this project are intended are: innovative potential entrepreneurs (innovative individuals, high school students, students, teachers, researchers); new and existing innovative start-ups and fast-growing companies with scale-up global growth potential.
